Where It All Began
Gatton based musician, Jesse Kupper is recognized as one of South East Queensland's most creative and versatile up and coming young Jazz guitarists. He is a familiar face in the local Jazz and Improvised music scene and is actively performing in a variety of musical arrangements and genres.
A passion for education has additionally seen him complete a bachelor of music at the Jazz Music Institute in Brisbane. While studying he was emersed in Jazz music’s application, history, theory and lifestyle. In this time he additionally received tutorage and education from national masters in their fields. He continues to receive the best tutorage from the worlds best educators.
His adaption to genres outside of the Jazz world have seen him perform and record with a multitude of Rock, Indie, Blues and Pop music groups throughout the region. Notable groups he has performed and recorded with include Lach Smith & The Keyturners, Buono Sera Jazz Band, Eagle Street, and up and coming blues rock vocalist Sarah Rae Meharg, for this debut album Sarah sought after Jesse’s unique improvisational qualities and soloing capabilities for her Hard rock/Blues setting.

During his career, Jesse has played with a host of extraordinary musicians from multiple genres at significant venues such as The Brisbane Jazz Club, JMI Live, The Jumpers and Jazz Festival, Little Clive, Bar Wunder, Cafe Guitar, Rochlea Markets, Doo-Bop Jazz Bar as well as many bars and cafe's across Australia.
